Reinhardt

Reinhardt - Honor and Glory is a piece based on a character in the video game Overwatch by Blizzard Activision.

This piece is inspired by the visual and stylistic qualities of the character Reinhardt. Reinhardt appears as a futuristic knight of sorts. He is a character bound by his loyalty to fellow soldier, country, and purpose. He is stalwart, grave, stoic, loyal, reflective, religious, and solemn. Reinhardt is driven and consumed by Honor and Glory.

Reinhardt - Honor and Glory is written for double brass quintet; one quintet constructed of the standard fanfare brass, and one of the rounder, darker, more traditionally melodic brass. In the piece, the two groups play off one another and have contrasting opening motifs that highlight their specific instrumentation. Each quintet will eventually join the other in their respective motifs.
